About the Arizona Trail for Fibromyalgia Fundraiser

My name is Sirena and in February 2008 I began hiking the 800-mile Arizona Trail to raise awareness for Fibromyalgia.  I will be starting at the border between Arizona and Mexico and ending at the border of Arizona and Utah.
 

9/05/08- 400 Miles Completed- 400 to go!
 

I have had Fibromyalgia for 10 years and would like to get people talking about this condition which affects 3-6% of Americans.  Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is characterized by widespread chronic pain, sleep disturbances, fatigue, and other symptoms that vary from person to person.  80% of people diagnosed with fibromyalgia are women.  I will be raising money to benefit the National Fibromyalgia Association.
